SAMSON SEWING CO.
USA materials only
I purchase all of my materials from American manufacturing companies only. I don’t outsource a damn thing from any communist countries! Fabrics such as 500d cordura, zippers, velcro, and tags are all American made, and Berry compliant!
Zippers:
I use YKK zippers, and sometime Lenzip zippers. Both American manufacturing companies. Lenzip zippers are manufactured out of Rolling Meadows, IL. YKK zippers are American made, and Berry compliant. Lenzip zippers are American made, *not Berry compliant. We only use Lenzip when inventory on YKK are diminished.
400d cordura:
I use a high visual fabric as a liner inside some of our products to make it much easier to see inside. I purchase this fabric from an American company out in SoCal. This fabric is 400d cordura. Very similar to 500d cordura, but not as thick, and just as durable. Perfect to use inside as a liner to make a truly rugged product.

500d, and 1000d Cordura fabric:
American made, and Berry compliant.
Faraday fabric:
The faraday fabric is military grade purchased from an American based company. High quality, and not cheap communist crap.

Waxed Canvas:
Our waxed we purchase from an American company based in the state of Georgia, USA. It’s pre-waxed, so therefore color may be slightly different from batch to batch. Waxed canvas is truly a favorite here at Samson Sewing Co. Waxed canvas is a great fabric to use for all products, and I am integrating that in most/if- not all of our designs. It’s extremely water resistant/borderline water proof; and is great for field use. The patina that it develops over time through natural wear, and use is my favorite feature of waxed canvas. Enjoy!

What does “Berry Compliant” mean?
Berry compliant means that a product is made in the United States, including all of its parts and materials, in accordance with the Berry Amendment:
Materials: The raw materials, threads, and other components are grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the United States.
Manufacturing: The entire manufacturing process, from start to finish, takes place in the United States.
Labor: The product is made using domestic labor.
The Berry Amendment is a set of regulations that applies to products purchased by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The amendment was originally passed in 1941 to protect the domestic industry base during wartime. It was made permanent in 1994 and codified in 2002.
The Berry Amendment applies to a wide range of products, including:
Clothing, textiles, and other items
Tents and their structural components
Cotton and other natural fiber products
Woven silk or woven silk blends
Spun silk yarn for cartridge cloth
Synthetic fabric or coated synthetic fabric
Canvas products
Wool
